My philosophy
You may have heard the saying: "We are not humans having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience."
This piece of wisdom has accompanied me for a long time because it captures how I perceive the world and our existence. It reminds me that our life has a deeper dimension that goes far beyond the material.
The human experience can be so unstable and full of unpredictable changes that at times it may feel aimless, hopeless, or meaningless.
Yet, these very feelings are essential for cultivating the desire to move forward in life, beyond merely fulfilling our physical and psychological needs. For example, moments of loneliness or failure can prompt us to reflect on the deeper meaning of our existence and inspire us to develop new perspectives.
It is important to emphasize that this is not about rejecting the material experience or negating the worldly. My approach seeks to synchronize both dimensions, integrating scientific insights to expand our perspectives.
In times of crisis and the stress of everyday life, it can be difficult to gain a perspective from a higher vantage point on oneself. The tendency to fall back into familiar patterns, which once served us well and now feel comfortable and familiar, is strong.
How do I move from an insight on a mental and emotional level to integrating that realization into my life?
Life is always with us, continuously in contact with each of us, like a quiet river that flows steadily, inviting us to notice its direction. When we pause and listen more closely, we can recognize the patterns and signs that provide us with guidance. We just need to be attentive enough to hear them.
In this way, we can reach the "flow" so many people long for, without giving up our own creative power and decision-making ability.
How can we integrate our own will into the total surrender to life?
